Membership entitles members to a wide range of benefits including organised day trips, music and live entertainment on a regular basis, ladies’ and men’s darts teams and a pool team which compete in local leagues, regular quiz and race nights, Sky Sports/ ESPN/ Racing UK/BT Sport/Amazon Prime Premier shown on two large flat screen TVs and two full-size snooker tables & a pool table.
Membership is open to all men and women of good character aged 18 and above, Children under the age of 18 are not permitted in the Club, the one exception to this rule being for attendance at the annual service of remembrance at the War Memorial on Remembrance Sunday morning.
Membership costs just £35 a year with an additional one-off joining fee of £5. The membership application form is straightforward and available from the bar staff. The bar staff will also assist in helping find a proposer for the application who must be an existing member of the club. Two committee members must countersign the application before it can be considered by the full committee.
Membership runs from January 1 to December 31. Existing members may renew their membership between December 1 and January 31.
Temporary membership may be granted for up to two months at a cost of £5 a month. This is helpful when an applicant may be visiting the local area for a short time only.
